Camp Inspire Summer Camp Director  - Temporary contract position

REPORTS TO: Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice

SUPERVISES: Camp Interns and Counselors

SCHEDULE: 

• Summer Intern Orientation Prep – Mon, May 20^th – Fri, May 24^th (flex/variable hours)
• Camp Inspire Summer Intern Orientation – Wed, May 29^th and Thu, May 30^th
• Camp  Inspire Set-up – Wed, June 19 and Thu, June 20
• Camp Inspire W1: Mon, June 24 – Thu, June 27
• Camp Inspire W2: Mon, July 15 – Thu, July 18
• Camp Inspire W3: Mon, July 22 – Thu, July 25  
• Camp Inspire Clean Up & Reporting  - Tue, July 30^th and Wed, July 31^st (flexible hours)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice, teachers, and interns to ensure that the program operates smoothly each day, over the three-week camp cycle.
• Co-facilitate summer intern orientation and training program.
• Coach and mentor Camp Inspire Interns and Camp Counselors.

• Ensure that all camp and workshop materials are prepared and set-up.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have prior classroom, workshop facilitation or camp experience

• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass PA criminal background check and child abuse clearances
• Prior experience working at a summer camp, out of school time enrichment program or in another educational setting (i.e., teacher, etc.) preferred

This is an 11-month position.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Staff leader for the mobile serve application and data

• Strong leadership capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to collaborate consistently with faculty, staff, and students.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
